Well, it looks like this is pretty new, so I might as well start. My husband and I are just starting ttc this cycle. He swears in one shot we will be pregnant. I keep trying to explain to him that we have things against us that may keep that 1 shot theory from happening, but he doesn't listen I'm just afraid if it doesn't happen the first try he is going to get frustrated really quickly. Of course I would LOVE it if it happened our first try, but that's not likely, and I think it's good that I don't have that expectation. Well, I just wanted to get things started, baby dust to everyone ttc!!!

Hello, this is my second month of trying. I took out my IUD in September and we tried in October....quite disapointed to see AF this week, but it's okay, only the first month! We're young and have no reason tobelieve we will have any fertility issues so I hope all goes well this month!

I recently joined and I think it's great to have found a place to vent or just to share TTC experiences. Its been 2 months that my husband and I have been seriously trying to conceive. I was surprised to discover that it did not happen right away...even though we tried during my supposed "fertile period". I am starting to get worried even though apparently I've heard that 85% of women conceive around their 6th month of trying. Why am I worried? Well, for one thing I am turning 30 in 2 weeks and I've heard that fertilty decreases around this time for first time mom's. As well, I was diagnosed with cervical displasia a few years ago and had to have a loop and I've read this procedure may damage the cervix in some women. There are other factors also, such as lifestyle that I am also worried may hinder our fertility. On the positve side, my gyno perscriped me Pregvit which I have been taking this is my second month, to increase my folic acid intake. I am interested in reading the recomended book, "Take Change of Your Fertility", is it anything similar to Natural Family Planning?

I am looking forward to hearing about your experiences and receiving lots of feedback and suggestions.

hi everyone,our story is a little different,we have been married for 20 yrs,have 3 children,21,18,15,we decided after our 3rd that we didnt want anymore and hubby had a vasectomy. you guessed it,we want one more,i am 39 yrs young hubby is 40. we are doing artificial insemination with donor sperm.we tried over a yr without success,we will be trying in just a about a week again.hope to meet new friends and we can help eachother through this journey.

though i have been TTC for over 3 years i thought i would pop in and maybe offer some advice

i feel like a TTC veteran LOL

sometimes u wont conceive as soon as other people u know and it can be frustrating....LOL ask me!

try to limit who u tell about TTC coz EVERYONE tries 2 be (what they think is) helpful and sometimes it ends up annoying you

try not to get overly caught up in temping , charting, ovulation testing etc etc .... i did and it drove me nuts....i was obsessed and each mnth when AF came i got more obsessed and depressed

try and make it as normal as possible....men find it hard when they know (or think) u r just sleeping with them for one reason ...at least for the period u think u r O-ing

try and involve DH in the process as much as you can but as little as possible....mine got freaked out with ovulation kits and temping and me talking about charts and dips and CM etc LOL .... was all 2 technical and contrived for his liking...but then all men r different so see and act according to your man )

anyway pls feel free to PM me if u need advise or just a shoulder to cry on or someone 2 vent to
