I thought I would come forward and tell you all that I think I made a mistake telling people at work (though I kind of wanted to due to some hazardous/toxic things at work that I probably should void while TTC) that my hubby and I were TTC. We are on month 8 and people keep asking if i'm PG and when I say no, they tell me to "RELAX" and "stop trying and you'll get pregnant". If I stopped trying I wouldn't get pregnant because my hubby and I have strange work hours and need to know when we are fertile versus when not. I haven't felt that stressed up until when they tell me to relax and stop trying. It's just very irritating, espeically coming from people that got pg within the first 3 months of ttc. My advice is to avoid tellling others you are ttc if it's possible to do so. I've told some close friends and my parents and they have been pretty good with no weird comments but coworkers make me crazy! Any advice on how to handle these comments from them? I guess I need to just blow them off and realize they don't know what to say.

if they keep hassling you just say thanks for your advice but i dont wana talk about TTC with you and when i am pregnant i will let u know

say ...for some of us it isnt that easy and i would appreciate if you understood this and just stopped asking me about it

sometimes yes it is just easier not to tell anyone u r TTC coz inevitably ppl give advice and it can almost always be annoying after a while

I know exactly how you feel.. i have only told close friends and some family that we are ttc but people at work seem to just assume that i am because i'm married.. i constantly have people asking me if i'm pregnant or when i'm going to have kids.. i usually just give them a vague answer saying "when were ready" ... but some people who have found out were trying that i didn't want to tell me that i'm just trying to hard?! thats just ridiculous and frustrating to hear.. of course i'm going to try.. i don't think i'm stressed out at all, i think i'm more stressed because i know all these people are watching me , just waiting for "the big annoucement"...
