Hi, I'm Dori. My husband and I just started to try. I'm 38 and he's 45. We've been married for 8 years and together for 12. We had firmly decided not to have children and then, sort of all of a sudden, we decided to try and see what happens. I can't say we're the most organized in our approach, but we love each other and are ready to embark on this adventure together.
My doc told me to get those ovulation kits things, so I did.
We're on month two. Last month, weird stuff went on. We think I got pregnant but I started bleeding before I could test. I had crazy symptoms and when I did start bleeding it was only for one day. Usually my periods last about 5-7 days. I have von Willebrand's disease and I'm a bleeder so it was just weird.
The really crap part about this whole thing is the trying and waiting and testing and thinking about it. I know I've only been at it for such a short time, so I can't really imagine what it must be like for long-haulers, but seriously. It makes me crazy. When I figure out what I want I want it right now!
That's my baby update so far. Anyway, here I am. Looking forward to getting to know some folks:)
