Hi, I heard about taking Robitussin while trying to get pregnant because it helps thin your cervical mucus.. i'm just wondering if i got the right one.. the one i got contains 200 mg of guaifenesin, 15mg of dextromethorphan, and 30mg of pseudoephedrine.
I couldn't find any with only guifenesin so i figured this one would be ok becuase it was has a lot of guaifenesin and very little little of the two other things. anyways, any info you have would be great.

thanks.

yes, this is true. I've met multiple people who had conceived while using robitussin to treat headcolds and such. My ob/gyn confirmed this. Your mans 'soldiers' can also thin out your cm. This is why a lot of OTC medications, and sex are advised against in women with a history of mscarriage, or in the later terms of pregnancy, as it can thin out the 'plug' causing pre-term labor. Also, this is why these 2 things are suggested to help induce labor.
By the way, lubricants (including your own saliva) aren't good for his 'soldiers' because they mess up the ph balance of your 'environment' making for a shorter lifespan, hence less of a chance for conception, and even less chance of cenceiving a boy. There are special lubricnts on the market for reasonable prices that are especially formulated for ttc couples. (try 'pre-seed')
Hope this helps!!!
